Prep Time: 15 minutes  •  Cook Time: 25 minutes  •  Serves: 6

Ingredients

16 oz. Old Home Foods Sour Cream

1.1 oz pkg (varies by brand) French Onion Seasoning Mix

8 thick cut slices of bacon (*see notes)

1 tbsp sriracha or hot sauce of choice

2 tbsp honey

Directions

In a medium bowl stir together the Old Home Foods sour cream and onion seasoning mix. Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees (I like to use my air fryer at about 350 degrees).

In a small bowl, whisk together the hot sauce and honey, set aside.

Place bacon strips on foil or parchment lined baking sheet.

Bake for 15-25 minutes (or about 10 minutes for air fryer).

During the last 5 minutes of baking, remove bacon and brush both sides with hot honey (reserve remaining hot honey).

Bake for another 5 minutes or until crispy. Place on a paper towel lined plate to drain slightly, then chop into pieces.

Stir half of the cooled crumbles into the dip mixture, and sprinkle the other half on top of the dip just before serving.

Serve with chips, crackers, and veggies.

*Note: pre crumbled bacon bits also work well as a mix in (about ½ cup), but the hot honey bacon really makes it. If using store bought bacon pieces, just drizzle some of the hot honey over the dip before serving.
